**ESH Role,**Support and provide guidance for line management with the Safety & Health Process. The main responsibilities include

1) A safe and healthy work environment

2) Implementation Malaysia government and Evonik regulations and ESH related compliance matters.

3) The position of a designated Safety officer.

4) Responsible for Personnel Safety, Office Hygiene, Fire Protection, Emergency Response, Training, Security and Safety.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:1. Develop and maintain procedures to comply with company site safety, Health, Governmental regulations and compliance matters.

2. Assist the Team Leads and Managers with implementation of Safety Plans, Training Plans, Safety Meetings, Audits & Inspections, Investigations and other related tasks and to independently assess the levels of in-door air quality, harmful or hazardous substances in the workplace and the exposure levels of persons at work therein.

3. To support Incident investigations, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease that occurred within the workplace.

4. Provide direction and support in developing and maintaining line management safety knowledge, training and skills.

5. Supervise and coordinate all functions of the Site Emergency Response Team (ERT) including annual employee drills, periodic ERT training, community drills etc.

6. Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes and provide timely input in the Risk Analysis and to provide measures to minimise/eliminate them.

7. Must have extensive knowledge in Malaysia Security compliance requirements.

8. Coordinate Evonik Management Information (EMI) emergency reporting requirements.

9. Conduct safety compliance training

10. Perform required compliance audits/inspections, regular site safety and security rounds of the Site.

11. Utilize effective interpersonal skills as required to assist the line organization in improving safety and health.

12. Assist/coordinate Industrial Hygiene monitoring on site, and assist/coordinate Fire Protection activities.

13. As our company’s representative and coordinating ESH related topics with government and statutory bodies.

**Facilities Management**:This management position has the overall responsibility for the facilities management for Evonik Malaysia. This position will ensure compliance of facilities management in order to ensure meeting all of the contract requirements with the landlord as well as meeting the customers satisfaction.

The incumbent will oversee and manage the following:

- Overall ACMV system
- Building Management System (BMS)
- Mechanical and electrical (M&E) system
- Fire protection system
- Security system
- Reception system
- Workspace strategy and lease agreement
- Office and building management
- Other miscellaneous activities
- Product Stewardship & Registration Management
- To support on Evonik Malaysia on relevant topics

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Degree in Environmental Science, Business Administrative or equivalent.
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in ESH, Site Management and Product Stewardship.
- Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
- Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
- Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
- Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
- Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
- Works at an intermediate level to create and edit art and photographic images, from idea generation to production. Typically works with guidance.
- Works at an intermediate level to use word processing software and tools. Typically works with guidance.
- Works at an intermediate level to use presentation software to create digital presentations. Typically works with guidance.
