- Truckers should take dispatched instructions and review them accuracy, prior to leaving on a trip. take a look at the trip orders, and do some planning for rest and fuel stops.
- familiarize yourself with the area you'll be traveling to avoid dangerous situations. Use route card provided/briefed by supervisor
- fatigue management is a must and be properly managed to follow company rules and regulations. A proper rest is required for every trip
- To do a careful inspection of the truck and trailer via PDC and this to be verified by supervisor.
- pre-trip and post-trip inspections require the driver to note any problems with the equipment and any problems brought to the company attentions.
- Drivers must keep in contact with supervisors for pick-up delivery and any changes to misconduct.
- The driver must pick up and carry paper records of the goods being transported, in the event of a department of transport roadside inspection and when crossing international borders.
- Driver must return all the delivery order, papers, to office once the they have reached their target. Place or upon returning to company. failure in returning the company related documents is a major misconduct.
- at the receiver, the driver has the customer sign for receipt of the delivered. goods and that the goods have been received intact with out damage. if the freight is damaged in any way, the trucker need to contact his supervisor promptly for instruction.
- make sure F&D functionality and call supervisor upon receive fatigue alert and seat vibrate
