**Key Responsibilities**
- taking responsibility for the progress of a class.
- organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
- planning, preparing, and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
- motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative lessons
- maintaining discipline
- preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
- meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
- providing feedback to parents and careers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings
- coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
- working with others to plan and coordinate work

**Literacy Coordinator**
- To exemplify good practice in literacy teaching in your own class
- To communicate enthusiasm for literacy to both children, staff and parents
- To lead workshops for parents
- To work collaboratively with colleagues
- To monitor and support other teachers in becoming excellent literacy practitioners
- To assist in leading training for teachers and teaching assistants to develop their expertise in delivering effective literacy learning and literacy interventions
- To support class teachers with planning, teaching strategies and assessment
- To lead whole school development of literacy, including phonics, spelling, guided reading and writing
- To gain a thorough knowledge of whole school data for literacy
- To report to others on analysis of whole school literacy data
- To act on school data trends by offering guidance and support when necessary
- To ensure that you keep up to date with developments in teaching and learning

**KS1 Class Teacher with TLR role**

- To plan work for a class in accordance with the school’s policies, to ensure that the children experience a broad, balanced, relevant and stimulating curriculum.
- To develop learning through the implementation of the IPC.
- To ensure a close match between the learning experience offered, and the individual needs of the children in the class, so as to give each child an opportunity to achieve to the maximum of his/her capability.
- To make appropriate educational provision for children with SEND, children who are gifted and talented, and those learning with EAL, with support from the SENCo and EAL teacher.
- To provide children with opportunities to manage their own learning and become independent learners.

**Skills, Qualifications and Experience**
- Appropriate degree and teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Bachelor of Education)
- At least two to three year's relevant teaching experience
- A passion for teaching and a belief in the education of the 'whole child'
- High levels of professionalism and care for children
- Excellent oral and written English
- Have excellent classroom practice.

Tenby International School - Setia Echohill is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, independent, all-through school with sixth form, in Malaysia, serving students from the age of 3-18. The all-through school is situated in Semenyih, Selangor. It belongs to the Tenby Schools Group, an expanding group of six international and Malaysian private schools across the country.

Tenby International School - Setia Echohill is the latest of the six schools, having opened in 2016. The building offers facilities including tennis courts, football fields, a swimming pool, art rooms, music rooms, a café and computer suites. Students are taught from a British inspired curriculum and go on to study towards IGCSE exams and International A levels.
