**The Role**: Vendor Master Data Analyst (Global Sourcing & Procurement)

**The Impact**: The role of Vendor Master Data Analyst is critical to the efficient and effective operation of Vendor Master Data team that relies on accurate and timely vendor information. In addition to that, Vendor Master Data Analyst will be responsible for handling S&P Global employees data for reimbursement and S&P Global client information for refund. Vendor Master Data Analyst will participate in various projects to simplify and automates vendor related processes, reducing the time and effort required for vendor onboarding, updates, and maintenance.

**The Team**: You will be part of the growing Vendor Master Data Team in Penang, Malaysia under the Global Sourcing & Procurement Team. This challenging environment will offer great opportunities for learning and expand your skills in Global Sourcing & Procurement Team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Vendor Data Management**:
Create, update, and maintain vendor master data records in the ERP system.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of vendor data.
Administer Vendor Master Data Mailbox, SNOW Ticket, Ariba SLP, Ariba EPAY, PIRG Report & APPIAN, quickly processing requests, resolving issues, and responding to colleague inquiries.

Vendor Onboarding
Facilitate the vendor onboarding process including collecting all required information and documentation. Verify that the vendor is not a duplicate vendor before the setup.
Ensure all vendor information is correctly entered into the system which is essential for reliable decision making and operational efficiency.

Data Governance
Monitor adherence to data governance standards and address any deviations.
Identify and report instances of non-compliance and non-adherence with Vendor Master Data standards.
Obtain the correct documentation for vendor change requests before making changes to the existing vendor records.
Maintain vendor change / add records as per the standard process in support of S&P Global record retention requirements.

Data Analysis & Reporting
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations based on the data analysis.

Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
Able to perform effective root cause analysis and contribute to improving controls and process effectiveness.
Work with cross functional teams to streamline vendor data management processes.
Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into company processes.

Support & Training
Provide a high level of customer service to our team, internal customers, and vendors. Embrace the “customer first” philosophy by responding quickly to inquiries, resolving issues as they arise, and treating all customers professionally and diplomatically.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
1+ years of experience in vendor master data management or relevant experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Proficiency in ERP system (e.g. Ariba, Oracle)
Strong analytic skills with attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to work on tight schedule to meet deadlines and deliverables with flexible hours.
Amenable for a hybrid work setup.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Knowledge of procurement and financial processes.
Certification in data management or related fields.
