Job description
Are you a skilled Purchasing Specialist looking for a new opportunity in the Electronics Industry? Our Employment Agency is currently working with a Global Fortune 500 Company in this industry to help them find top talent to join their team based in Johor.
**Responsibilities**:
Manage the order status process to ensure accurate shipping and delivery information is entered in the company's systems
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure they are held accountable for meeting shipping and delivery commitments
Negotiate pricing with suppliers and provide quotes to the sales team to support customer opportunities
Work closely with local and regional warehouse and logistics teams to ensure products are received and delivered on time and to drive process improvements
Manage non-conforming inventory, including product disposition and in-process failures
Communicate order status and problem resolution to planners, sales, and customer operations in a timely manner
Assist in managing inventory aging and fill rate, including stock rotation and liquidations as appropriate
Support group and/or organization key initiatives and objectives through contributions on project teams, including support of supplier management activities
Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:
1- 2 years of experience in the semiconductor, electronics, R&D or related industries
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Ability to demonstrate strong resilience and patience working with all stakeholders
Ability to work independently exercising strong levels of discretion and judgment
Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment across functionalities
Ability to adopt critical thinking to develop solutions
Knowledge of industry practices and standards
