**Position Title**: Accounting Intern

**Location**: Bayan Lepas, Penang

**Department**: Finance and Accounting

**Reports To**: Accounting Manager

**Duration**: [3 months, 6 months]

**Position Summary**: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support our Finance and Accounting team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industry, working with seasoned professionals to develop your accounting skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assist in Financial Reporting**: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- **Data Entry**: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- **Reconciliation**: Help in reconciling bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and other accounts payable/receivable tasks.
- **Audit Support**: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Aid in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- **Inventory Management**: Help track and manage inventory records.
- **Compliance**: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- **Ad-hoc Projects**: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- **Knowledge**: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Experience with accounting is a plus.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Team Player**: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- **Time Management**: Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
