JOB SUMMARY The librarian is responsible to manager Library Operation - Acquisition, Cataloguing & Processing, Lending Services & Reference Services and also Accreditation. Librarian must be multitasked in all aspect of works and committed. The position is also accountable for actively pursuing ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services and facilities and maintain the comfortable and safe study area for library users. Library operation and management are using the Library Management System KOHA. This position has a yearly budget responsibility in preparing and managing. This position will ensure the library operation and activities are strealined with the processes in HQ based on Head of LIbrary direction. RESPONSIBILITY/ ACCOUNTABILITY 1. Library management 2. Managing of the lending services activities 3. Conduct the reference services, user education, information literacy, library tour and information services. 4. Manage and develop library policies and SOP 5. Manage the acquisition of library materials in print books and e-book and multimedia and print, subscribe and renew electronic serials and online resources. 6. Manage and handle the cataloguing and processing of library materials (print book, print serials and non-serial). 7. Create and conduct library event. 8. Other duties assigned. REQUIREMENTS 1. Minimum Degree in Information Science (Hons) in Library Management or equivalent. 2. Min 2 years’ experience in library management. Experience working in university library will be added an advantage. 3. Knowledge of computers, the internet, and commercially available library software. 4. Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia to manage the reading materials in these languages.
