As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to our organization. You will ensure that the company operates within the framework of applicable laws and regulations, while also identifying legal risks and proposing strategies to mitigate them. Your expertise in various legal matters will be instrumental in protecting the company's interests and facilitating its growth. Responsibilities: -Provide legal advice and counsel on various legal matters, including contracts, employment law, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. -Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests. -Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the business and industry. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and address legal risks and compliance issues. -Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance. -Participate in and oversee legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. -Handle legal disputes and litigation matters, including managing external counsel when necessary. -Advise on data privacy and security matters, ensuring compliance with data protection laws. -Provide legal training to employees to increase awareness of legal issues and compliance requirements. -Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, advising the management team on potential impacts. -Prepare legal reports and presentations for the executive team and board of directors. -Support the company in securing necessary licenses, permits, and certifications. -Maintain legal records and documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained. Requirements: -Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited university; additional qualifications such as a Master of Laws (LLM) are advantageous. -Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction with 5 years of legal experience. -Extensive knowledge of contract law, corporate law, employment law, and other relevant legal areas. -Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of legal documents and agreements. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to provide practical legal solutions. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. -Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. -High level of integrity, ethics, and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information. -Proficiency in legal research and the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.
