- Valid Nursing Registration Certification with Nursing Board
- Willing to work on shift rotation
- Willing to commute to Simpang Ampat / Batu Kawan

**Possessed valid Basic Life Support certificate is an advantage**

**Management**

1. Ensure that standards of practice and service delivery as per local regulations and the International Standards of Practice of Client and International SOS are implemented and maintained, and that documentation of same is up to date.

2. Ensure that On-Site Medical Services service delivery meet and exceed client service level agreement.

**Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)**

1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program to monitor and assess Medical Services Operations.

2. Assists in the coordination of training to enhance development of staff skills in line with issues identified through Quality Control (QM) process

**Documentation / Communication**

1. Attend, contribute and report activity as directed by Management, Medical Services and other meetings as requested.

2. Assist in ensuring that all policies, standards, procedures and practices and company information are maintained to the latest date issued in accordance with the documents policy.

3. Ensure that reports are completed in detail and accurately reflect the sites compliance to standards.

**Operational**

1. Support Lead Nurse, MS Operations staff in the implementation of plans of action following departmental audits.

2. Support Site Staff in closing of plan of action items pertaining to Operational Support.

3. Liaise with Lead Nurse and Assistant Operations Manager / Operations Manager, Medical Services on actions allocated as per POA.

4. In the event you are not required to handle any relief duties, you will be based at the Intel sites for administrative duties, or to be deployed to assist the Lead Nurse in her daily tasks.

5. You will be required to be on standby for relief duties at all times, including weekends and public holidays, and required to be deployed within less than 2 hours of activation.

**Relief Duties as On Shore Nurse (upon Medical Service Management Activation)**

**Patient Care**
- Undertake clinical consultations and provide the requisite standard of service and care to patients attending the clinic.
- Assist with ensuring appropriate patient triage and flow within the clinic and administer first aid and treat minor illnesses.
- Providing primary outpatient care, basic emergency medical care on the site to stabilize the patient, limited diagnostic testing, and assist in patient transfer by ambulance to designated medical facility.
- Develop and ensure continuity of patient care and appropriate follow-up and referral.
- Assist with the implementation of preventative medical care strategies, including structuring and performing medical screening services.
- Manage the delivery of competent and professional health services according to Intel and International SOS standards.
- Coordinate with the International SOS Assistance Center (AC) and Coordinating Doctors (CD) the procedures required and preparation of patients to facilitate evacuation from site to definitive medical Centre.
- Provide nursing consultations and determine which cases need further consultation with the Occupational Health Doctor.
- Ensure consultation rooms and ER are in appropriate condition
- Check all emergency equipment and ensure that they are in working condition
- Check all drugs and disposables inventory and ensure that none of these are beyond the expiry dates.
- Conduct hygiene inspections, infection control audits at a pre-determined frequency
- Documentation of all medical cases and ensure correct and proper storage of medical records
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Operations Manager / Operations Manager, Medical Services/ Chief Medical Advisor /Occupational Health Doctor.

**Quality Assurance and Administration**
- Work with the Occupational Health Doctor and Chief Medical Advisor to optimize quality assurance and ensure that appropriate medical outcomes are consistently attained with respect to the provision of clinic services.
- Implement and follow at any time the Medical Services escalation procedure currently operating while managing medical cases at site.
- Escalate to / inform and seek advice from Response Centre Doctor regarding any prescriptive medications being made on site.
- Ensure patient’s medical files and documentations are maintained to the requisite standards and in accordance with Client and International SOS standards for clinic services.
- Assist in the maintenance, selection and control of the medical equipment and supplies available in the clinic when requested or required.
