**Responsibilities**:
Involve all site works and various matters, including but not limited to the following:
- Check the workmanship and material for conformity with the drawings, specification and site instructions, and inform the Assistant Resident Engineer and the Contractor where this is not achieved.
- Note the site instructions and any other relevant directives onto the drawings used in inspection, to ensure that they are taken into account during and inspection.
- Check the M & E works against the drawings and to inform the Assistant Resident Engineer and the Contractor of any discrepancies. This inspection must be carried out prior to the erection of any formwork which would impede access to the M & E services.
- Prepare a written list of any points which may require attention, in conjunction with the Assistant Resident Engineer, where the Contractor has asked for the inspection. Then, to pass the list to the Contractor’s foreman; check that this point has been rectified or agreed before this part of works is covered, unless the Assistant Resident Engineer advises that relaxation of requirements has been agreed while a copy of this list should be passed to the Resident Engineer.
- Attend during M & E works, to ensure that the workmanship is satisfactory and to observe the workability of the M & E services.
- Inspect the M & E works to note any defects and to inform the Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Attend operations where full records are required ie. material testing, factory visits etc.
- Keep a daily diary recording the work in progress, inspections carried out, points of special difficulty or contention, other items of special interest and hours of attendance on this site.
- Note minor variations which may affect payment and to notify the Resident Engineer.
- Check the sizing of M & E services.
- Notify the Assistant Resident Engineer of any accidents on site and record these in the diary.
- Keep record drawings marked with the dates when M & E works take place.
- Keep a record of the Contractor’s staff and the sub-contractors on site.
- Keep other Resident Engineer’s staffs informed on matters which may affect their work.
- Report daily, in person, to the Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Supervise routine test where requested.
- Other tasks as delegated or directed by the superior or any person authorised by him.
**Requirements**:
- With 2 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage
- Friendly and team oriented
- Preferably male
- Report to: Resident Engineer

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM4,000.00 per month
