The role is responsible for the completion of assigned maintenance work to the correct standard to maintain plant equipment reliability. This includes following all site requirements to safely execute the work and communicate to site team on reliability

**Our Role**

We are recruiting for a motivated and experienced Mechanical Specialist for our Kemaman Limestone Processing Plant. The plant operation is in Kemaman, Terengganu. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the role will be responsible for safe, responsible installation and repair of mechanical units and components in compliance with company policies, procedure and guidelines. There will be No electrical live work involve

Ordinarily this is a 3 rotating shift schedule however you will be required to work on some public holidays and will be available to attend unplanned breakdowns, whereby overtime will be accrued.

Key responsibilities include;
- Complete scheduled and daily routine mechanical maintenance activities to avoid unexpected stoppages, rectify faults or recover from breakdown.
- Support maintenance planning by completing planning scoping sheet for maintenance tasks. Documenting parts, steps in work required.
- Compliance with Graymont’s inventory process to book parts out of the warehouse and return parts to the warehouse.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs). Identify hazards and report them to the HSE Officer and / or Site Manager.
- Able to problem solve on why a piece of equipment is not performing correctly or communicate key equipment symptoms to maintenance supervisor or reliability engineer or capture in JDE.
- For equipment breakdowns, required to investigate, inspect, and report to supervisor on finding and corrective actions to return machine to service. This includes an estimate of the timeframe for repair.
- Ensure mechanical maintenance work is completed as per the work order instructions.
- Ensure operational availability of equipment and facilities, as well as efficient maintenance of the plant to minimize any production losses.
- Participate in Maintenance Team Performance Meetings and contribute to required task, shift, and site reporting.
- Support Graymont Performance Management System in participating in the periodic performance evaluations.

The successful applicant will have;
- Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronic / Electromechanical) or equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs.
- Experience in a control room and / or working with control systems involving flows of raw materials, coal, lime, clinker, and cement production.
- At least 2 - 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience demonstrating an advanced process control background.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving combined with excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to analyse complex problems and implement solutions in a short timeframe.
- Possess required certification for required mechanical activities.
