What your challenges are
- You are responsible for the monitoring of IT solutions provided to our business, on-premise and in the cloud.
- Among your most important tasks is the troubleshooting of disruptions in IT environment, evaluating the impact for the business and acting promptly to find a solution or to escalate it.
- You bring your expertise to coordinate IT crisis situations, organize the communication channels, onboard people to work together and to re-establish the service as soon as possible.
- Coordination of emergency change is another one of your core tasks. Your overall view of IT environment will be a key information in the decision process, providing insights regarding possible impacts on other IT systems.
- You operate in an international and complex environment, interacting with many IT colleagues around the World.
What we’re looking for
- You bring self-motivation and initiative to support us to ensure the availability and reliability of IT solutions.
- You have already gained some experience in Windows and Linux Server operation (focus on monitoring).
- You have already worked in organizations using ITIL best practices.
- You are proficient in English (both written and spoken), being able to communicate with different IT personal in Evonik locations around the World.
- You are open to support us different time zones and business hours, including work in shifts as well as weekends on-call.
- You have successfully completed vocational training in IT or similar training.
