a) Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
b) Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
c) Maintain a fully stocked store
d) Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
e) Recommend and display items that match customer needs
f) Welcome and greet customers
g) Keep up to date with product information
h) Accurately describe product features and benefits
i) Follow all companies’ policies and procedures
j) GOODS IN
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries
- Checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
- Recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods
- Moving the goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment
- Labelling goods

k) STORAGE & STOCK CONTROL
- Allocating storage space to goods
- Relocating and re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery

l) GOODS OUT
- Picking goods that have been requested by customer
- Preparing stock and pass to cashier counter for customer
- Moving and stacking goods ready for delivery, either by hand or using hoist lift
