**We are seeking to appoint a Mathematics teacher who is capable of teaching Mathematics to children aged 11 - 18 years old, including IGCSE and A Levels. An ability to teach Further Maths at A-Level is highly desirable from August 2024.**

**Applicants for the position should**:

- have knowledge, experience and a passion for teaching Maths at KS3, IGCSE and A Level (or equivalent)
- the ability to teach Additional Mathematics (IGCSE) is very desirable
- the ability to teach Further Mathematics (A Level) is very desirable

**Main Responsibilities**
- Support the work of the Mathematics Department to ensure the highest possible levels of achievement
- Plan lessons in accordance with schemes of work
- Contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of policies, syllabuses and schemes of work
- Uphold high standards of preparation, teaching and discipline.
- Use ICT confidently within the curriculum
- Contribute to Mathematics department activity beyond the curriculum
- Establishing high and appropriate expectations for learning, motivation and presentation of work
- Set and mark homework in accordance with school policy
- Provide constructive oral and written feedback to students with clear targets
- Keep parents informed of student progress, including at Parent-Teacher Conferences
- Liaising with the Student Support Team with regard to individual students who may have exceptional needs, to ensure that those needs are understood, planned for and met.
- Attending and contributing to meetings of a professional nature as and when required.
- Contributing to the strengthening of the parent-teacher partnership in individual and whole school initiatives as and when required.
- Be prepared to take on a pastoral role in the school in the form of a Form Tutor, and fulfilling the responsibilities of that position.
- Making a positive contribution to the development of the School.
- Actively supporting the ethos of the school.

- Actively support and adhere to the Child Protection Policy, including attending annual training.

In October 2017, we were awarded The International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) Gold Level Accreditation and were identified as outstanding in all 8 assessed standards during the accreditation visit. We have retained our Gold Level accreditation at all subsequent visits including the latest in November 2021. The school is also a proud and active member of FOBISIA (Federation of British International Schools in Asia) and AIMS (Association of International Malaysian Schools) amongst others.
