Warden

**JOB PURPOSE**:

- Provide a duty of care as well as a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for students throughout the day/night on a rotation basis. Duties will include being a point of contact for students, securing buildings and ensuring the accommodation is in good order.
- Work with Student Affairs department to ensure there is appropriate support to students.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- To welcome and support students during arrivals weekend and departures and assist with check-in/out procedures. Maintain order of the campus and the students on daily basis to preserve high discipline among the students in the campus.
- Respond to the needs of the student. Display an awareness of the special requirements of students, including paying attention to students with a disability/medical condition to ensure the health and medical needs are attended timely to avoid complications.
- Promote good order in the residence and provide a friendly and welcoming environment; ensuring that students are compliant with the accommodation regulations, in particular to manage anti-social behaviour where required.
- Attend to students needs and ensure the highest standards of customer care.
- Be the first point of call in an emergency and make an assessment of the severity of the case before deciding the appropriate action, which may include accompanying the student to hospital. To liaise with the Student Affairs department where necessary.
- Produce comprehensive written reports for handover and record keeping purposes, including health and safety incident reports for Management’s updates and facilitate decision making where required.
- Liaise with the Counsellor and QHSSE team over student behavior and welfare issues to ensure issues are attended promptly in the best way possible.
- Ensure that the security of the accommodation is maintained. Conduct regular fire, health, and safety checks to safeguard students’ safety and security in the campus.
- Ensure that the agreed standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in public areas within the accommodation buildings, which will include emergency cleaning where necessary to promote clean, neat and tidy living environment.
- Notify the appropriate Authority of any missing students in accordance with the agreed procedures.

**Salary**: RM1,600.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
