CNC Technician

To set Up and operate 5-axis CNC Milling machines according to procedures, programs and engineering drawings to manufacture machined parts efficiently and to specifications. Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed. To manage CNC machine setup for junior level CNC Machinists to help eliminate non-conformance and machine down time. To identify root causes and corrective action to resolve production process and quality issues. To use prescribed procedures to inspect parts produced to assure compliance with specifications and quality requirements that will eliminated defects, scrap and rework. To maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition on a daily basis, report defective machine, equipment, materials and/or faulty operations to supervisor. To perform cutter adjustments either by tool offset, geometry offset or physical sizing of boring bars at the machine. To set Up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. To perform in-process quality check on partially finished and finished parts using designated measuring equipment and devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, thread gauge, pin gauge, vision measuring machines and other measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications. To update and communicate the production output status for the shift to supervisor. Installation of machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines and equipment, and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance. To communicate effectively with CAM engineers, supervisors and/or other CNC machinists during problem resolution and instruction.

In few years time, we successfully commercialized our operation with well-known electron-gun manufacturers, such as Hitachi, Samsung, Chunghwa Picture Tubes, whose located in Peninsular Malaysia. In year 2005, we expanded our precision metal stamped business to Indonesia and Thailand, i.e. successfully became the main vendor for precision metal-stamped components for Matsushita and Toshiba. Along the years of afford and strong-will, we continue the “KAIZEN” thought, our organization became one of the leading companies in precision metal-stamped and hermetic producer in the world. On 25th February, 2011, the organization was taken over by VEGALIEN SYNTHETIC TEXTILE CO., LTD (100% ownership). The organization was renamed as VEGA PRECISION TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. on 7th June, 2011.
