- Ensure that the Contractor’s work is monitored and carried out in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
- Supervise activities on site.
- Contact the Resident Engineer when substandard works occur, or variation is required.
- Check day work records of the Contractor keep daily site diaries and complete daily reports.
- Assist RE/ARE systems in taking measurements and other details as may be necessary for progress payments, variation orders, changes, etc.
- build a trusted relationship with the client and contractor’s project team;
- place an emphasis on safe working and a high quality of delivery;
- Flag deviations when they occur;
- attend site meetings if required

**Here’s what you’ll need**:
As a key member of the project team, you will be expected to:

- have experience working in a rail signalling and communications either on construction/design projects, or in the maintenance and operation of a railway;
- have a working knowledge of design, installation, testing and commissioning of signalling and communications of rail assets;
- be able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings;
- be a team player and be flexible to the needs of the project.
- Diploma or Certificate specializing in Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent.
- **3 years of professional experience working on rail (signalling and communication) projects.**
- Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (inspector of Works)
- Possess own transport
