Job scope:

- **Food Preparation**: Prepare ingredients and recipes according to established standards and recipes. This includes chopping vegetables, marinating meats, measuring ingredients, and following recipes accurately.
- **Cooking**: Execute cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and steaming to prepare a variety of dishes. Ensure that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and doneness while maintaining quality and flavor.
- **Menu Compliance**: Adhere to menu specifications and ensure that all dishes meet quality and presentation standards set by the establishment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items or modify existing ones as needed.
- **Kitchen Organization**: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace by following sanitation standards, proper storage procedures, and cleaning schedules. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding ingredient needs or equipment maintenance requirements.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality upon delivery. Monitor cooking processes to prevent overcooking or undercooking food items. Conduct taste tests to ensure that dishes meet flavor expectations and make adjustments as necessary.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other kitchen staff members, including chefs, sous chefs, and line cooks, to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely service. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- **Food Safety**: Follow food safety guidelines and procedures to prevent cross-contamination, foodborne illnesses, and other health hazards. Adhere to all local health codes and regulations related to food handling, storage, and preparation.
- **Adaptability**: Remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen environment, especially during peak hours or unexpected situations. Willingness to assist with additional tasks or duties as assigned by management.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development by attending training sessions, workshops, or culinary classes. Stay updated on industry trends, cooking techniques, and new ingredients to enhance culinary expertise.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Physically strong and fit
- Able to work under pressure
- Conversant in Bahasa Melayu and English

**Salary**: RM1,900.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
