**Job Title: Safety & Facility Officer**

**Industry: Logistic & Supply Chain**

**Salary Range: RM6300-RM6800**

**Location: Shah Alam**

Responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the organization's physical infrastructure and facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, security, and overall functionality and outlook of the facility for the long term.Create a safe working environment in the factory and overall facility for employees, reduce the risk of accidents and injuries, while upholding and enforcing safety protocols ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Your goal is to create a comfortable, safe, and productive environment for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:
**Facility Management**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for the organization's facilities, including regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities to uphold their optimal condition.
- Collaborate with contractors suppliers and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of maintenance, repairs, renovations and facility improvement projects at high level of detail and quality.
- Prepare and manage budgets for facility-related expenses, tracking expenditures and finding opportunities to optimise cost without compromising quality of safety.
- Implement security measures, access controls, and surveillance systems to safety the premises, assets and confidential information.
- Implement environmentally-friendly practices, energy-saving measures and waste-reduction strategies while exploring future opportunities for ESG activities.

**Safety Policies and Procedures**
- Develop, implement and maintain safety policies, procedures and guidelines that comply with local, state and federal regulations. Keep up to date with evolving safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of safety-related activities, schedules, incidents, training and compliance efforts.
- Coordinate closely with Logistics team on a preventive maintenance schedule and safe operations of the forklift fleet and ACL equipment.

**Risk Assessment & Incident Reporting**
- Identify potential hazards and conduct regular risk assessments within the factory. Continuously evaluate equipment, processes and workspaces to pinpoint safety concerns.
- Conduct investigation into accidents, near misses and other safety incidents to determine the root causes to implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

**Safety Training & Communication**
- Lead training programmes for employees to ensure they are aware and practice safety protocols, procedures and proper use of machinery.
- Promote a culture of safety among the team through effective communication such as Toolbox Briefings, signages, and regular safety reminders.

**Emergency Preparedness**
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans including evacuation procedures, and coordination with local authorities like police and Bomba.
- Quick to respond to emergencies to minimize injuries and damages to the premises.

**Qualifications required**:
**Minimum Experience Required.**
- At least 3 years in facilities management or related roles, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, and safety practices.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Prior experience in managing property of high quality and safety standards is preferred.

**Additional skills/knowledge required.**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using facility management software and relevant technology tools.
- Experienced with vendor management and reviewing contracts.
- Knowledge of relevant local regulations, codes and standards related to facility management, health, safety and security.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and adapt to changing circumstances.

**Salary**: RM6,300.00 - RM6,800.00 per month
