Private Nurse

**Requirements**:

- Possess relevant qualifications, licenses and certifications in the nursing field.
- Practical nursing experience is essential for this position.
- Ability to communicate effectively with elderly person, their families, and healthcare providers.
- A caring and empathetic nature is essential, along with patience to deal with the challenges of elderly care.
- Given the close, personal nature of care provided in a private residence, trustworthiness and integrity are essential qualities for a private nurse.
- Ability to anticipate problems and sensitivity to issues affecting the sanctuary of the family members.
- Being a good communicator, possess social skills and personnel management.
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese dialect) is required for this position.
- Hold a valid driving license and able to drive.
- Retirees, particularly qualified former nurses or registered surgical nurses, are highly recommended to apply.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care to the elderly, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures as required.
- Regularly assess her condition, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and modify care plans accordingly.
- Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop improved diets and healthcare plans for her.
- Providing companionship, engaging in conversation, and encouraging social interaction.
- Encouraging hobbies, activities, and exercise to maintain mental fitness and physical well-being.
- Accompanying her to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social outings.
- Keeping detailed records of the elderly?s health, medication administration, and daily activities.
- Aiding with routine tasks such as showering, getting dressed, grooming, and perineal care.
- Keeping the living environment clean, safe, and organized.
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks related to the elderly?s care.
- Listening to the concerns of family members and communicating any changes in health status with them.
- Any other job functions as and when instructed by the elderly or her family members from time to time.
