Summary:
To carry out all duties of a BO Chargeman 11 KV as specified under the Electrical Act and Regulation (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
To work as part of the Estate’s Team on projects & utilities in planning, organising, supervising & coordinating of work activity.
To manage a team of in-house technicians on electrical and air conditioning.
To assist in environmental sustainability projects ie energy saving initiatives and etc.

Job Requirement:

- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Competency Certificate in Electrical Chargeman BO 11kV by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
- Professional leader able to work at senior level in a team
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to plan work activities and motivate staff to provide high-quality service with professional integrity.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in building and facilities maintenance on mechanical and electrical scope.
- Minimum 3 years BO level hands-on working experience in HV operation and maintenance environment and ability to perform, supervise service, repair, overhaul of electrical components and equipment.
- In the event of TNB power failure, able to perform switching over from main line to genset trucks and vice versa.
- Experience of budget management and financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
- Show good attitudes towards works, management and superiors.

Job Responsibility
- Mainly handle 11KV electrical equipment, which includes operating, maintaining and troubleshooting switchgears, transformers and other related systems in the substations.
- To carry out all duties of a BO Chargeman 11KV as specified under the Electrical Act and Regulation (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
- To carry out periodic inspections and monitoring for HT and LV switchboards, bus-ducts, transformers, switchgears and TNB supply.
- To ensure the smooth running of the building system (power, air cond and etc.).
- To maintain accurate records of the condition of the above-mentioned equipment with monthly reports to the Electrical Engineer.
- To create systematic monitoring systems or program in the institution for preventive maintenance for all mechanical and electrical installation.
- To ensure that all the above-mentioned equipment have a Maintenance Record of service activities conducted.
- To perform scheduled inspections and testing of standby Generators, Fire Pumps and etc.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures in relation to power, air cond and etc.
- Lead and manage electrical and air cond team and work together with other Departments for the smooth delivery of the require works.
- On call and respond to building emergencies (example: electrical breakdown and etc.)
- Must be able to response to emergency call duty and special task arrangement during off day.
- Liaison with relevant government Authorities (DOSH, ST, Bomba and etc) on inspection and compliances issues.
- To participate with Health & Safety Office and Security Office to plan and carry out Fire Drills as required by the BOMBA with reports to the Management.
- Maintain a list of contractors and consultants and carry out their performance evaluation on maintenance checks.
- Overseeing external contractor’s works / service and monitor their performance.
- Carry out in-house electrical works including laying wires, changing bulbs, maintenance, inspection and testing as assigned by the management.
- Participate in the preparation of budget/fund for the maintenance of all M&E systems.
- Undertake any other relevant duties as and when required ie energy savings initiatives.
- In the event of power interruption from TNB, able to perform switchover from substations main line to genset trucks and vice-versa.
- To be project manager from Estates in Capex Projects, to prepare BQ and liaison with contractors.
