**Job Descriptions**:
Cable Installation:
- Install underground cables, including power cables, communication cables, and fiber optic cables, in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Excavate trenches, lay cable routes, and install cable ducts, conduits, and supports as needed.
- Use specialized tools and equipment, such as cable pulling machines and hydraulic crimping tools, to handle and install cables safely and efficiently.
Cable Jointing and Terminations:
- Perform cable jointing and terminations to connect cables, splice conductors, and seal cable joints.
- Follow industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines to ensure reliable and durable cable connections.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify potential cable defects, corrosion, or damage.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot cable faults, failures, and outages using cable fault location equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and re-jointing as necessary to restore cable functionality and integrity.
Testing and Commissioning:
- Conduct electrical tests and insulation resistance measurements to verify the integrity and performance of cable installations.
- Perform high-voltage tests, including partial discharge testing and insulation resistance testing, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with testing and commissioning teams to validate cable installations and commission electrical systems.
**Requirements**:
- Cable jointer (PK1/PK2/PK3) shall have valid certificate as per requirement in Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Electricity Regulation 1994: Regulation 23 and 51) for Semenanjung Malaysia and Sabah or Electrical Inspectorate Unit (EIU) for Sarawak.
- Minimum one (1) year working experience in oil, gas & petrochemical industry relevant to maintenance services for electrical equipment and system
**Salary**: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
