Teppanyaki Counter

The Teppanyaki Chef is the core of what makes our KOKU Japanese Restaurant is unique and exciting.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Primarily works in front of the restaurant while cooking and preparing hot meals on hibachi tables directly in front of guests.
- Ensures correct food portions are being cooked and maintain the kitchen areas and hibachi tables clean and keeping sanitation and safety as the highest priority.
- Prepares and sets up food for cooking and side orders according to KOKU's standard.

**Requirements and skills**
- Fluent English, oral and written skills.
- Documented and successful service at least 2 years in similar position in Teppanyaki restaurant or in a 5 star hotel operating.
- He/she delivers not only quality & delicious food, but also an entertaining and “fun & flare” show to guests.
- Must possess a desire to deliver excellent customer service as well as well-prepared food.
- Must also enjoy working in an upbeat restaurant environment.
- Ability to work both fast and accurately.
- Team spirit.
- Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Flexibility to take on various shifts.
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
