1. Experience
- Relevant work experience: 2-3 years of experience in community management, social media management, or customer relationship management, ideally within the beauty, wellness, or skincare industry.
- Proven track record: Demonstrated success in building and managing online communities and increasing engagement.
- Event coordination: Experience in planning and executing both online and offline events.
2. Skills
- Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. Ability to engage warmly and authentically with the Muslimah audience.
- Social media expertise: Proficiency in using social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) and community management tools to manage and grow online communities.
- Content creation: Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva), video editing, and photography for creating engaging social media content.
- Customer service mindset: A strong customer-first attitude, with the ability to handle customer concerns and feedback in a professional, empathetic, and solutions-focused manner.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to navigate challenging situations, such as negative comments or crises, with calmness and professionalism.
- Event planning: Organizational and coordination skills for managing events, both online and in-person.
3. Personality & Traits
- Passion for skincare: A genuine interest in the skincare and beauty industry, particularly in non-invasive, Muslimah-friendly treatments, to better connect with the community.
- Empathy and emotional intelligence: Ability to understand and connect with the community’s needs and concerns, particularly in terms of skincare and personal well-being.
- Creativity: Innovative thinking for developing engaging content, campaigns, and community-building activities.
- Detail-oriented: Able to manage multiple tasks and ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all communication.
- Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated on the latest social media trends and tools to keep the community strategy fresh and relevant.
4. Technical Requirements
- Social media tools: Proficiency with tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social for managing and scheduling social media posts.
- Analytics skills: Ability to monitor and report on social media and community engagement using platforms like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, or Instagram Insights.
- CRM experience: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track and engage with community members effectively.
5. Cultural Fit
- Cultural awareness: Understanding and respecting the cultural sensitivities of a Muslimah audience, while ensuring inclusive and welcoming communication.
6. Education
A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field would be advantageous, though practical experience in community management is more critical.
Additional Preferences
- Experience working with Muslimah-focused brands or in the beauty/wellness sector is a plus.
- Understanding of Islamic guidelines around beauty, wellness, and modesty.
- This combination of skills, experience, and cultural awareness will enable the Community Manager to succeed in building a strong, engaged, and loyal customer base for Seri Wajah
