Fundraising Leader

This role requires developing and executing comprehensive funding strategies, managing relationships with investors and lenders, analyzing financial markets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The successful candidate will be able to think strategically, work independently, and possess strong negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic financing plans to support short-term and long-term financial goals.
  2. Lead efforts to secure funding from various sources, including negotiation of terms and drafting agreements with local and international banks.
  3. Optimize capital structure by managing debt issuance, refinancing, and working capital management.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and other stakeholders.
  5. Monitor financial markets and economic conditions to identify opportunities for funding and capital-raising activities.
  6. Support subsidiaries' funding management and corporate finance exercises, including compliance with listing requirements.
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve high-impact strategic initiatives and projects' goals.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in fundraising, with direct dealings with banks and negotiation of financing agreements.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA) preferred but not required.
