**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Biodiversity Conservation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and implementing targeted research studies to generate new information and innovative ideas on sustainable biodiversity conservation and management in the Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing technical leadership in planning, management, and implementation of biodiversity conservation and management activities;
  • Coordinating with external parties to conduct research/studies on the reserve areas;
  • Documenting case studies and sharing information on biodiversity conservation and management best practices and lessons learned with local partners/stakeholders/government agencies and the general public;
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans, budgets, and technical reports on biodiversity conservation and management activities;
  • Representing the program at state/national and international forums/meetings; and

**Requirements:**

  • Malaysian Citizen, 24 years old and above;
  • Bachelor/Masters/PHD in Science, Engineering, Sustainability Studies, Biodiversity Management or any other related discipline;
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong analytical and project management skills;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia;
  • Motivated and self-driven individual with a strong commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork;
  • Confident and dynamic personality; and
