About the Role
Bluebonnet Trails Community MHMR Center is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Crisis Response Specialist to join our team. This critical position will collaborate with the Williamson County Emergency Operations Center, providing crisis intervention and de-escalation services to individuals in need.
The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of principles, methods, techniques, and practices for working with individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. They will communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations, utilizing their expertise to support those in crisis.
This role requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Our ideal candidate will be able to multitask, review information in multiple systems while engaging and assessing individuals in crisis over the phone.
Responsibilities
- Provide phone-based crisis intervention and de-escalation services
- Collaborate with law enforcement, medical professionals, schools, families, and social services agencies
- Utilize knowledge of public mental health and community resources to develop safety plans with individuals in crisis
- Communicate effectively with diverse populations
Requirements
- Meet requirements for Qualified Mental Health Professional – Community Services (QMHP-CS) certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or 24 course hours in human services
- Minimum two years case management experience
- Texas Driver's License and approved driving status
