We are seeking a Tax Assistant Manager who can lead tax compliance assignments, manage advisory and tax planning projects, and coach team members on tax projects. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting and analytical skills, excellent communication and people management/development skills, and be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Management of Tax Compliance Assignments.
  2. Perform or manage advisory and tax planning assignments.
  3. Coaching & guiding team members and assistants on tax projects.
  4. Engagement monitoring – manage, review and ensure compliance with tax regulations and procedures.
  5. Perform technical and/or marketing functions.
  6. Build close rapport with clients and relevant authorities.
  7. Involve in business development.
  8. Any other assignments and tasks from the superior deemed appropriate and relevant.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Minimum Degree in Finance / Accounting or any relevant field.
  2. Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  3. Strong drive to excel professionally.
  4. Demonstrated success in adapting to a work environment of professional staff.
  5. Team player.
  6. Preferably a full or partial member of any relevant professional bodies.
  7. Excellent communication and people management/development skills.
  8. Strong accounting and analytical skills.
  9. Functional knowledge and skills in using Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  10. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
