They will also be responsible for providing direction for source selection and ensuring proper process implementation, and supporting quarterly business reviews with customers and senior management at key/strategic suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand, and emerging trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Commodity Management teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.
  • Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation.
  • Supports quarterly business reviews with customers and senior management at key/strategic suppliers.
  • Liaises with the Global Design team to optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products.
  • Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand, and emerging trends.
  • Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers' business, organization, products, and processes.
  • Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
  • Expert problem-solving skills to deal with Customer/Supplier issues.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
