Job Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, Test Engineering at Western Digital, you will play a critical role in supporting the BE Media test process, ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Your expertise will be instrumental in certifying new media and transferring it into back-end test operations, as well as optimizing media test processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the development and implementation of new media test processes, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
  2. Certify new media and transfer it into back-end test operations, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  3. Optimize media test processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering and Operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures and methodologies, to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  6. Participate in FMEA meetings to identify and mitigate potential risks and defects.
  7. Interface with support teams, including IT and Product groups, to ensure timely resolution of issues and effective communication.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements
  1. BS degree in Electrical and Electronic or Mathematic or Computer Engineering.
  2. BS degree in Physics Sciences.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge in electronic engineering, experience in working on projects, experiments, and evaluation environments.
