At Prismatic Tech, we are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our IoT R&D Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our cloud-based backend applications, ensuring seamless integration with our IoT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement scalable backend cloud applications using cloud computing knowledge and expertise.
- Collaborate with internal firmware and product engineers to develop and maintain data structures, storage, and management systems for IoT devices.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and daily updates.
- Develop detailed documentation of work produced to guarantee reproducibility.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience in React, NodeRed, HTTP/RESTful API design, and hardware interfacing.
- Cloud computing knowledge, with expertise in Hybrid cloud and On-Prem set-ups.
- Networking, connectivity, and MQTT Broker set-up for data publish and subscription interconnecting multiple devices.
- Building prototypes and designing Real-time APIs for a handful of devices.
- Comfortable working with UNIX-based cloud servers, such as Ubuntu/Linux.
- Data management experience, including setup, configuration, and usage of databases like SQL, NoSQL, and Time Series.
- Scalable User Management, including groupings, authority levels, and rules.
- Holistic backend design approach considering the frontend and IoT end nodes.
- Big Data, AI, and machine learning algorithms for data-driven scenarios, predictions, and preventive maintenance.
- Data security and privacy, including protection from leakages and hacking.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide solutions to solve business needs.
- Problem-solving skills, with a commitment to creativity and good communication.
- Ability to make use of existing software to reduce time-to-market.
- Experience with configuring web servers and reverse proxy, such as NginX.
- Experience with Docker, Containerization, and microservices, with serverless computing as a plus.
- Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.
