About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced API and Integration Lead Developer to join our team at Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd. in the Asia Pacific region. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing APIs and integrations that meet the business requirements of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a deep understanding of business requirements and best practices for building integrations and APIs.
  2. Design and implement domain-centric APIs that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
  3. Build and test integrations with various systems and technologies.
  4. Develop external-facing APIs using REST and JSON.
  5. Document APIs using Swagger.
  6. Troubleshoot integration issues and perform defect analysis.
  7. Implement CI/CD processes, including configuration management, daily automated builds, unit testing, and more.
  8. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration between systems.
  9. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and collaboration with other teams.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of programming experience.
  2. Experience with Java using Spring Boot.
  3. Experience with Spring Cloud.
  4. Experience integrating with AWS components, such as S3 and SQS.
  5. Strong experience with API development using REST, JSON, Swagger, and Postman.
  6. Experience with JIRA and SonarQube.
  7. Knowledge of object-oriented modeling.
  8. Understanding of IT project delivery and agile/DevOps methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with integration design patterns.
  2. Passion for new and emerging technologies, with the ability to investigate and stay up-to-date on the latest trends.
