Finance Manager, Group Accounting

We are seeking an accomplished Finance Manager to join our Group Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities in accordance with the organization's accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Oversee Group-wide period end activities, reviewing data from business units and sub-consolidation.
    • Review and approve accounting journals prepared by shared service teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Analyze accounting data and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations to management.
  • External Auditor Engagement:
    • Collaborate with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes, coordinating kick-off and hard close audit closure meetings.
    • Provide information to auditors, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and address any queries or exceptions.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead a high-performing team, focusing on talent development and engagement.
    • Mentor and guide team members, providing coaching and support to achieve excellence.
  • Collaboration and Teaming:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers.
    • Support local, group, and corporate projects, ensuring timely provision of financial information and business data.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW) and at least 8-10 years' experience in finance roles, with leadership experience in an established audit firm.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to anticipate problems, issues, and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently and in a team.
