About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Reporting Specialist. As a key member of our financial reporting team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial reports to our customers in accordance with established financial reporting processes and work procedures.

You will be responsible for independently delivering financial reporting services, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports, and supporting and guiding analysts in performing financial reporting tasks. You will also assist with and perform financial reporting tasks as required.

  • Independently provide financial reporting transaction processing support and ensure delivery quality in terms of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness on a daily basis.
  • Perform and analyze booking of accounting transactions, fixed asset transactions, master data maintenance, and account reconciliation including account clearing.
  • Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, trend analysis, and transaction posting checks.
  • Prepare and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and statutory financial reports for BASF companies across Asia Pacific on a timely, accurate, and complete basis. This includes reports for group reporting, internal management reporting, statutory reporting, as well as any agreed ad hoc reports required (e.g., audit schedules, tax schedules).
  • Troubleshoot and liaise with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and queries related to financial reporting processes.
  • Contribute or participate in working groups (i.e. Smart Close, Final Sprint, RRM, CbCR & etc.) with specific expertise knowledge.
  • Perform backup and other duties as required or delegated.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

Financial Reporting Services: Independently deliver financial reporting services to BASF's customers in accordance with established financial reporting processes and work procedures.

Timely Delivery of Reports: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports, including financial reports and other documentation.

Collaboration and Support: Support and guide analysts in performing financial reporting tasks, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and queries related to financial reporting processes.

Continuous Learning and Development: Participate in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in financial reporting and other accounting functions.

Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing priorities and deadlines, and in working collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
