Engineering Lead for Pressure Vessel Design

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead for Pressure Vessel Design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in static equipment design and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule compliance.
  • Perform detailed design for static equipment such as pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and package equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering specifications, mechanical datasheets, and requisitions.
  • Ensure effective communication among stakeholders, including project management, engineering disciplines, and clients.
  • Participate in department meetings, project status meetings, and provide accurate reporting of project progress, delays, and lessons learned.
  • Provide leadership skills to junior engineers and contribute to their growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • At least 7-10 years of working experience in the oil & gas industry as a mechanical static engineer or at least 5 years of working experience in designing pressure vessels (pressure vessel manufacturer).
  • Thorough knowledge of static equipment ranging from vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, and package equipment.
  • Strong technical background in an engineering contracting environment with all aspects of static equipment engineering.
  • Ability to work in teams with all levels and vendors and possess excellent interpersonal, communication/presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Able to define work scope and required resources.
  • Able to operate pressure vessel design software such as PV Elite, Codecal, etc.
  • Well-versed in static equipment design codes and standards such as API, ASME codes, TEMA, and client standards such as Petronas PTS and Shell DEP.
