Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making processes. This includes analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to key stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with business plans.
  • Business Performance Evaluation: Assess and evaluate business performance, identifying areas of opportunity and risk. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to provide insights and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Financial Planning and Strategy: Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies. Contribute to the creation of models and scenarios to support business decision-making processes.
  • Month-End Closing and Financial Reporting: Oversee the periodic closing process relating to retail operations. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reports (as required). Present findings to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments across the organization to understand their needs and provide required support.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the implementation of more efficient and effective ways of working.
  • Team Management: Provide guidance and support to other junior team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting, preferably with professional qualifications (ACCA or equivalent).
  • At least 4 years' experience in a related field; experience in Big 4 or medium-tier audit firms with experience in managing a team would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in the retail industry would be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
