Job Title: Application Services Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Application Services Specialist to join our team at R Systems. As an Application Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing primary support for payment system applications, managing and coordinating SIT and UAT with technical, testing team and PayNet in accordance with the testing strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux commands and shell scripting, as well as experience with databases such as MS-SQL or Oracle or Postgres DB. They will also possess excellent problem-solving & analytical skills, self-motivation, ability to adapt to change in fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and embrace new technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary support for payment system applications
  • Aggressively respond to service requests
  • Manage and coordinate the SIT and UAT with technical, testing team and PayNet in accordance with the testing strategy
  • Troubleshoot or escalate technical issues, working to provide solutions quickly
  • Maintain technical documentation

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or any other relevant qualification
  • Min 2 years' experience working under application development or application support
  • Knowledge with Linux commands and shell scripting and have working experience with database such as MS-SQL or Oracle or Postgres DB will be an advantage
  • Highly self-motivated, dedicated, proactive and versatile
  • Good interpersonal skills, coordination skills and good problem solving & analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to adapt to change in fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and embrace new technology
