As a Business Development Manager at Great Eastern Life Assurance Company, you will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to delivering the best possible solutions in both life and general insurance.

Job Purpose:

To assist superior to activate, grow and expand productivity of Employee Benefits Scheme and to retain renewal business via direct distribution and bank partnership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve personal sales targets by developing renewal and new business.
  • Drive business development of Group Insurance – Employee Benefits through direct distribution channel and bank partnership to meet business targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a high level of satisfaction among clients and partners.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Claims) to optimize customer experience and resolve issues promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory compliance, and emerging threats to better safeguard the company and its customers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and participate in projects or initiatives to expand and grow the employee benefits business.
  • Promote a positive culture and uphold behavioral expectations within the department or division.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, continuous learning, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Administration, Insurance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in a sales-related role.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization and externally.
  • Proven track record in sales, marketing, or business development with excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
  • Skilled at handling complaints and requests with urgency, maintaining impartiality and objectivity.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, or after office hours for training, product launches, or special events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent ability to communicate, present, persuade, and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills, with the ability to assess client needs, provide quality services, and uphold high standards.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and capable of thriving in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability for work, and has a good attitude towards teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve the current state of things and is adaptable to embrace new changes.
