Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility as a Regulatory Affairs Advisor will be to research and synthesise regulations related to gas and biomethane in the Netherlands. You will work closely with our gas and biomethane traders and originators to ensure that our business strategies align with the latest regulatory requirements.

You will also be responsible for influencing the development of the regulatory framework for gas and biomethane in the Netherlands. This involves building strong relationships with national authorities and agencies, as well as internal stakeholders, to advance SEA's interests and protect our business.

Requirements
  • Candidate must be able to reside in the Netherlands or London with monthly travel.
  • Dutch and English language skills are required for the role.
  • University degree required.
  • Some knowledge of the regulatory framework for energy in the Netherlands, experience reviewing/interpreting regulations, ability to synthesize relevant information from review of lengthy/complex regulations and draw commercial implications.
  • This position requires high commercial acumen and creativity allowing you to respond adequately (and in many cases under time pressure and in public fora) to challenges in negotiations with highly experienced and commercially astute regulatory professionals.
  • Influencing skills; ability to inform & influence multiple stakeholders (internal & external).
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate opinions and advise on commercial impact to existing and/or regulatory feasibility of new commercial activities given the evolving legislative landscape.
