  • Scalability and Maintenance: Design and implement scalable, reusable systems and automate operations to ensure high-quality data science solutions.
  • Data Domain Knowledge: Leverage understanding of data sources, industry requirements, and domain expertise to apply data science analytics solutions effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS/IT, Math/Statistics, Engineering, or Science discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum six years of experience in designing, prototyping, deploying, and maintaining scalable data science solutions in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to interact and influence others; experience in deriving actionable insights from data and quantifying business impact.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, R); Excel, Power BI, and basic web programming (CSS & HTML); data manipulation and processing skills; familiarity with database and application programming interfaces, including WITS/WITSML data structures & protocol; experience with SQL; knowledge of software engineering processes, including version control (using Git), testing, and release cycles; and understanding of modern development methodologies (Agile using Scrum and/or Kanban).
  • Language: Excellent command of the English language in both speaking and writing.
