As a Cash Application Specialist, you will play a vital role in the company's financial operations. Our team is responsible for managing the cash application and allocation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with the Downstream Credit Manual.

Purpose of Role:

  • ">
  • Support the onshore activities in assigned portfolio in East region to ensure cash application and allocation are completed accurately and on time.">
  • Collaborate with the Debt Collection team to resolve allocation issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.">
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of banking processes to resolve issues arising from various modes of receipts and reconcile accounts proactively.">

Accountabilities:

  • ">
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of cash application and allocation for assigned East portfolio in accordance with the Downstream Credit Manual.">
  • Communicate with internal teams, including Debt Collection, to resolve allocation issues and provide support as needed.">
  • Analyze unidentified receipts and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure resolution within prescribed timelines.">
  • Monitor Accounts Receivables and perform manual entries to maintain accurate records.">

Challenges:

  • To ensure that cash remittance through various channels is booked accurately and on time, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLA).">
  • This is critical in managing exposure levels and supporting debt collection efforts. Strong communication skills are essential in dealing with internal and external customers.">
  • Manage direct debit, rejection, reinstatement of bounced cheques, and refund critical activities effectively.">
  • Be adaptable to change and willing to support process improvements opportunities for final decision and implementation cross-team.">
  • Collaborate with superusers/subject matter experts for any changes impacting global WI or local WI.">

  • Responsible for managing/performing operations of designated credit sub-process.">
  • Identify and flag improvement opportunities after consultation with superuser, subject matter experts or participate in process improvement initiatives in designated sub-process and portfolios in collaboration with subject matter experts and process experts.">
  • Stakeholders include Debt Collection team, Cash Management Team, E-Banking, Banks, Reporting & Analysis team, Credit Risk Managers.">
