Job Overview

As a Turbine Installation Project Leader at GE Vernova's Grid Software, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the installation of turbines on customer sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless execution, adhering to contractual and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Mobilization and Execution: Manage site mobilization, civil work, erection, and commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality parameters.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Supervise site managers responsible for entire scope of site activities during ITO and OTR phases, acting under the direction of the overall project leader.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate potential issues, ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines and regulations.
  • Resource Allocation and Management: Arrange necessary resources, including equipment, personnel, and documentation, to support site team supervisors for timely completion of tasks.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure that all site tests are identified, planned, and organized according to contractual and engineering requirements, guaranteeing high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Membership of Professional Engineering Institution.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of experience in construction management of large construction projects/hydro projects.
  • Languages: High proficiency in English required; proficiency in Malaysian and Chinese languages may be an added advantage.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and social competence, negotiation, presentation, decision-making, problem-solving, and 'big picture' thinking.
