About the Role
The Estate Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing estate operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. This role will involve directing estate planning activities, providing leadership and guidance, and monitoring the development of estate production, manpower planning, and quality control.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct the estate planning process and provide leadership and guidance to the estate team.
- Plan and monitor the development of estate production, including replanting, production, administration, and personnel.
- Responsible for the implementation of all estate activities, including budgeting and budgetary control administration.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to in all operations.
- Establish individual estate goals, objectives, and procedures in the unit.
- Determine staff requirements and interview, hire, and train new employees; supervise personnel processes.
- Carry out other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Plan and review activities, costs, and operations, and take ownership of the property assigned.
- Set specific targets, execute decisions, and provide effective support to estate operations.
- Accountable for task delegation and close monitoring of overall estate performance.
Requirements
Basic Education and Training
- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Agriculture Aquaculture/Forestry or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of managerial working practice in estate fieldwork and administration.
- Possess excellent communication expertise and demonstrate proficiency in personnel administration and financial management.
- Possess leadership abilities, strong analytical expertise, troubleshooting expertise, and effective problem-solving capability.
Knowledge and Skills
- Land matters.
- MSPO & RSPO.
- Foreign workers' labor law.
- Competency in agriculture activities such as OP nursery, planting, maintenance, harvesting operation, and mechanization.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask estate and palm oil mill operations.
- Good organizational and labor management.
- Proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management, meeting deadlines and punctuality.
