Cloud Engineer

VAT GROUP is a leading international developer, manufacturer, and supplier of high-performance high-end vacuum valves and vacuum sealing technology.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, leveraging cloud platforms to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with the global team to manage cloud infrastructure and implement enhancements on IT cloud systems.
2. Cloud Architecture: Architect cloud-based solutions based on business requirements and technical constraints.
3. Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and implement cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
4. Automation and Orchestration: Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools.
5. Cloud Migration: Assess existing IT infrastructure for suitability for cloud migration, develop migration strategies and plans, and oversee the migration process.
6. Cloud Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost, identify optimization opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures.
7. Cloud Resource Management: Manage cloud resources and ensure compliance with best practices.
8. DevOps and CI/CD: Leverage DevOps practices to automate cloud infrastructure management, integrate CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms for faster deployment and testing, and collaborate with development teams to streamline software delivery.
9. Technical Support: Provide technical support to users and other teams.

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
2. Cloud Experience: Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, databases, and application services.
3. Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
4. Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and configuration.
5. Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
6. Networking and Security: Understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, load balancing, and DNS, and familiarity with security best practices and tools for protecting cloud environments.
7. DevOps and CI/CD: Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
8. Problem-Solving and Communication: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.

1. Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft Certified such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
2. Additional Certifications: Additional certifications related to specific Azure services or technologies.
