Cognex is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Sales Territory Expansion Specialist. This role requires a strong ability to grow sales in designated territories, uncovering new accounts and recovering dormant ones. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pre-sales support to customers through demonstrations of products and application knowledge, maximizing opportunities for Cognex sales.
  • Assist post-sale by training customers on how to integrate Cognex products into their systems and processes.
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers and influencers at customer sites.
  • Conduct detailed discussions on application requirements, process flows, product designs, installation considerations, and integration issues.
  • Provide feedback to marketing on competitive strengths/weaknesses and product feature requests.
  • Train customers on how to integrate Cognex products into their systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot customer applications and provide resolution recommendations.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations for complete systems or components based on customer specifications.
  • Review and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
