Job Description

CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and financial reporting functions of the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Reporting and Compliance
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory bodies, including Bank Negara Malaysia and MDEC.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, including the timely and accurate submission of financial statements and reports.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Group Treasury
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce financial costs.
  • Manage the Group's capital structure and secure funding through strategic relationships with banks and investors.
  • Mitigate currency and interest rate risks through targeted hedging strategies.
Corporate Tax and SST
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of corporate tax and SST returns.
  • Ensure the timely payment of all tax and SST obligations.
  • Address and resolve audit matters in a timely and efficient manner.
Team Development
  • Provide guidance and coaching to subordinates to ensure competency in their tasks and to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Promote a high level of morale and positive productivity among departmental staff.
  • Participate in staff activities, training, and meetings as required.
Process and Policies
  • Monitor and enhance accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support system integration and/or finance transformation projects.
Other Reporting / Matters
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Perform other ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements
  1. Candidates must possess a Degree in Accounting/ACCA or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 15 years of working experience in the related field and position.
  3. Experience in managing a team.
  4. Audit experience is preferred.
Skills / Knowledge
  1. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).
  2. Knowledgeable and experienced in ERP and consolidation systems.
  3. Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  4. High-level of integrity with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  6. Good organization skills with an ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently.
  7. Interpersonal skills: Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organization; uses diplomacy and tact; is approachable; communicates clearly, accurately, and consistently both verbally and in writing.
