The Procurement Process Expert is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of vendor management, invoice processing, and payment processing for the organization.
Key responsibilities include accurately processing invoices, managing vendor information, and ensuring proper supporting documentation and approval. Reconciling payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate is also an essential task.
The Procurement Process Expert will manage inbound documents (invoice) coming through multiple sources, including Ariba network, central mailbox, digital archive, and EDI. Approving and posting invoices in the system, verifying that invoice information is consistent with system information, is another key responsibility.
Supporting the PTP Director with early payment requests, differentiating between rush payments and other early payment types, is also an essential task.
The position requires the ability to keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments. Liaising with vendors in case vendor master data updates are required to issue remittance advice is also crucial.
The Procurement Process Expert will also be responsible for managing vendor onboarding process, including vendor onboarding checks, assisting in internal/external audit, and addressing vendor inquiries.
Additionally, they will assist in extracting information for month-end reporting and participate in ad hoc projects in other areas as needed.
Critical skills required for this role include manually keying invoices into the financial system and generating invoices from a PO.
