Senior Actuarial Analyst

This role is part of our Asia Pacific Actuarial Analytics team, supporting clients' reinsurance operations regionally and globally. The Senior Actuarial Analyst plays a pivotal role in assisting clients in analyzing risk to their business from all product lines.

Clients include insurance companies, reinsurers, and governments. We require best-practice actuarial and financial modeling, effectively communicating results to clients to support reinsurance decision-making.

The role undertakes understanding the financial position of clients, their broader approach to risk management, including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), solvency, and economic capital management, contributing to business success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the relationship between insurance and capital markets, various products available to manage risk, including conventional reinsurance and structured solutions
  • Data review and analysis, including granular risk level data and claims as part of client optimization
  • Opportunities to work with offices worldwide, involving local and overseas travel for regional business development and success
Requirements:
  • Proficient in MS Office packages, strong spreadsheet background
  • Strong business communication skills, highly developed report writing skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, multitask and prioritize project work
  • Ability to process and understand data quickly, creatively
  • Able to work in a team, autonomously, highly motivated to learn and grow within a global market leader
Qualifications and Education:
  • Actuarial Degree, Fellowship qualification or Associate level with IFoA, CAS (or equivalent)
  • General insurance/reinsurance experience advantageous
