Job Title: Senior Java Developer

The New Role

  • Participate in the application development lifecycle, analyzing, designing, building, deploying, testing, releasing, and supporting software applications.
  • Maintain and enhance core financial systems with a roadmap for revamping into microservices architecture in the near future.
  • Study and analyze existing application code structure, producing technical designs, and responsible for key/complex development tasks.
  • Ensure all codes produced meet the expected quality and security requirements.
  • Perform critical tasks required by project execution and production support as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for junior team members.
  • Ensure deliverables adhere to the organization's development guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks assigned.

Requirements to Succeed

  • Minimum 5 years in IT system development, preferably in Financial Services/Banking Institution industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Microsoft Java frameworks development.
  • Must have skills in the following subjects:
  • Java and SQL Programming.
  • Java EE specifications and components.
  • Web services and web development technologies.
  • Common Java MVC frameworks.
  • Development tools and utilities (Eclipse, Ant, SVN, JUnit, etc.).
