Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at NS BlueScope. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and automation engineering expertise and direction to the team.

1. Design and Development: Design, maintain, implement, or improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
2. Engineering Tasks: Perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
3. Collaboration and Communication: Confer with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
4. Specifications and Standards: Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
5. Construction and Manufacturing: Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
6. Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
7. Reporting and Documentation: Write reports and compile data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
8. Purchasing and Procurement: Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
9. Team Leadership: Supervise or train project team members.
10. Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
11. Maintenance and Support: Maintain electrical equipment.
12. Collaboration with Technicians: Work with a variety of technicians.

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Experience: At least 8 years of electrical engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
3. Licensure: Licensed as a professional engineer.
4. Software Skills: Experience in using or a desire to learn required software.
5. Code Knowledge: Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.
6. Design and Calculation Software: Proficient in design and calculation software.
